Background: Chris Declercq was born in Switzerland on August 28, 1986. Before picking up the guitar at age sixteen, Chris first started his music career playing drums for 6 years. Before moving to Hollywood at age 18, Chris played with many different bands back home and toured parts of Europe (Switzerland, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy). Chris also plays bass and does music production as well.

Training and Education: Attended ETM Music School in Geneva, Switzerland (2003). Received lessons from guitarist Rusty Cooley in Houston, Texas (2004); Attended Musicians’ Institute in Hollywood, California where he was trained by artists/teachers who include Steve Hunter (ex-Alice Cooper, Tracy Chapman), Carl Verheyen (Supertramp, Bee Gees), Chris Broderick (Megadeth), Paul Gilbert and others, (2005).
Original Music: Chris is currently recording his solo album made entirely of his own original music. The album will feature different guest artists on most of the songs. Chris will start off by releasing a single featuring Blaze Bayley (former Iron Maiden singer). The single will be released before the end of September, as the artwork for the music is currently being made.
Bands: Chris is currently playing with the band “Sextus” led by Eric Dover. The band just released their second album. Chris also plays Lead Guitar and bass with the Michael Jackson tribute band “King Of Pop The Band“. In addition he is also playing with the band ”Godmother,” (Formerly “Hardly Dangerous”), which features Tomirae Brown (James Brown’s widow). Chris is also playing in the band “Gene Loves Jezebel”.
Chris has been working as a session musician for the past 6 years, recording music with many artists and bands whose music ranges from a wide variety of different styles and genres, including: Pop, Rock, Blues, Metal, Latin, Punk, Rap, and more. Chris is an extremely professional and versatile guitarist and learns material very quickly.
Venues: Chris has performed live at venues all over California including House of Blues (Anaheim, Hollywood, San Diego), The Key Club, The Avalon, The Wiltern Theatre, The Glass house, The Roxy Theatre, Henry Fonda Theater, Crash Mansion, The Vanguard, The Galaxy, The Baked Potato, Club Nokia, The Whiskey A Go-Go, The Brixton, The Conga Room, The Viper Room, The Troubadour, King King’s, The Belly Up Tavern, Brick By Brick, Anthology, and many more. Chris has also performed live throughout the country at the following venues, festivals and casinos: House of Blues (Las Vegas, Chicago and Myrtle Beach); Fiesta Broadway, Desert Rocks Festival in Utah, Rocklahoma, California Music Fest, Pop Overthrow Festival, Bay Area Rock Fest, Strawberry Festival, Hard Rock Casinos, Apache Gold Casino, Cache Creek Casino Resort and Riverside Resort Casino to name a few. Chris has also been on stage for many opening acts as well as television appearances, Fox TV, Univision, Channel 34, Channel 22…
Tours: Chris has toured in the U.S. with Dizzy Reed of Guns ‘N Roses, with “King Of Pop The Band” Michael Jackson tribute band and also Gene Loves Jezebel.
